This league was founded in 2018 by the Members of the Board of the International Soccer league in that year.

The reason to start this league was to create an authentic Futsal league (Indoor 5vs5), with official futsal courts and rules. All the indoor soccer leagues played until that moment were play in basketball courts. Half of the size of an authentic Futsal court.

Futsal is a big Sport in countries like Brazil or Spain, where the best professional Futsal leagues are played.

The Des Moines International Futsal League is trying to bring this Sport to Iowa and grow the interest of children and adults.

This is a great Sport to be played at any age, stay active and promote physical activity amongst adults and children, creating healthy habits.
